WebI recently rewatched the OG Top Gun having been on a high from Maverick. My take is that it is an average film except for the jet scenes which must have been a marvel for people back in 86. I wasn't a fan of the non-flying scenes tbh except for Goose and Maverick's relationship which felt real and effective.
